I spent the morning photographing the removal of a large tree within the historic roller coaster, the Jack Rabbit, at Seabreeze amusement park in Rochester. The work was done by Erik and his team at High Falls Tree Service. I shot from the ground and the air. Still processing about 30 minutes of video down to something short that delivers impact. Here are all the Still photos. It was really fun watching them work in the tree, coordinate with the crane and provide a flawless service that protected the historic coaster.
Photo shoot for the house band of First Unitarian Church, Orange Sky. One of my favorite locations down in the abandoned subway of Rochester. Great colors and textures. Other than the fact that it was freezing the day we did the shoot it was great fun. See Here for the complete shoot.
From early January until mid February wonderful images of Burma by Chris (pictured above on the right) hung in the Williams Gallery at First Unitarian Church on Winton road. The show was wonderfully received. For photos of the opening reception go HERE.
I have recently been engaged by the Christ Church in downtown Rochester to provide photos for their website and other promotional and documentation purposes. Irene and I went to their midnight mass on Christmas eve. It was a wonderfully musical event. It is a great space, just loaded with history and also is the home of an organ that is a replica of a 1776 organ from Lithuania. More photos can be found HERE.
Ever wondered what the state of your chimney is? Getting water in your home and you are in search of the source? Considering working with a mason and you need good images to discuss what needs to be done?
Give me a call and I can take pictures for you from above.
We spent time with a special little guy, Henry. He and his parents, Sarah and Mike were just great. Henry tolerated over and hour of shooting, wardrobe changes and finally when we wanted to get a few shots of him asleep he obliged without a fuss. He was just a delight to work with.
The ceremony was at Temple Sinai in Penfield. The architecture of the building is quite unique, find information about the building here. The wall behind bima is all glass giving the sense of being outdoors. For a photographer it is a great place since there is tons of natural light given that the ceiling is all glass. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Daisy Flower Mill. Great day and an honor to witness AllyRose passing this milestone in her life.
Irene and I had a great time with Matt, Elizabeth and their daughter Maisy. She was a real trouper, we were out in the cold for about 90 minutes. Cute as a button! Highland park came through with the foliage. Go HERE for the complete set.
It is kind of crazy that I have lived in Rochester since 1982 and have never been to Power's Farm Market. Erin arranged to have Samantha's birthday party there this year. It was a blast and everyone had a great time. Running around in the huge corn teepee, and the night time spooky hay ride. Go HERE for the complete set.
A friend is concerned about the state of the pointing on his chimneys. I grabbed some aerial shots for him to use to determine any work required and when talking with a contractor. For more click HERE.
Jan was looking for some shots for her website. She asked me to capture her as she would look to someone she were working with. We had a really fun session, she is so full of life and joy. Further shots can be found HERE.
On the evening of October 3rd, 2014 Gail had an opening of her exhibit "Contemplation" in the Williams Gallery at First Unitarian Church of Rochester. Gail is inspired by the beautiful natural forms and colors that abound in both natural landscapes and in the human form. She explores them in her artwork using the mediums of paint and pastel. Irene organized the opening and I captured some photos for Gail. The complete set can be found HERE.
One of my favorite places to shoot is Linear Park in Penfield. Larissa and Rob wanted an outdoor location for their 'save the date' photos and they also like Linear Park. We spent some time along Irondequoit Creek and then on the trail that runs along the creek. They were are a great playful couple. Their wedding is in May of 2015, should be fun, they have chosen the barn in Rush as the venue. The rest of the shoot can be found HERE.
On a beautiful day Erin and Nick became husband and wife at the White House in Webster park. The outdoor wedding could not have been nicer. Samantha and Ethan stood up for Erin and Nick and their cousins Madison, Julia and Sasha were the flower girls. Everyone looked great. For more go HERE.
The DJI Phantom is wonderful for accessing difficult spots to determine if there is house damage that needs to be addressed. This homeowner knew that he had some issues with an attic window. This shot shows the extent of the issue. A great tool when talking with a contractor about how to remedy the situation.
